Market validation, not project equivalence
California oilfield energy is now a live data center thesis.
In June 2026, Beacon Data Centers and California Resources Corporation announced the Golden Valley Technology Hub, a proposed 275 MW campus on the Elk Hills oil field in Kern County. The design pairs data center capacity with dedicated power from CRC's existing gas-fired Elk Hills plant and closed-loop cooling to limit water use. CRC has submitted a conditional use permit and expects to file an environmental impact report in the fourth quarter of 2026.
That precedent shows the market will pair industrial oilfield land with firm energy. INNEX does not present Kettleman as build-ready today. It invites the right counterparties to test whether Kettleman can clear the same commercial and technical gates.
