Frank serves as an Executive Geoscience Advisor for INNEX
Energy. He has had an extensive and in-depth career in global
exploration, leadership, team building, change management,
and project - and portfolio - management. His early technical
expertise in micropaleontology and biostratigraphy formed a
broad knowledge basis for global regional stratigraphy and
geology. Frank is fortunate to have experienced the industry's
transition from the paper based 2D world through the modern
3D high technology team-based experience.
Frank has a BS in Geology from the State University of New
York at Cortland (1972) and an MS Geology from the
Pennsylvania State University (1974). His early career was in
New Orleans with Texaco, Paleo-Data Inc, and Placid Oil
Company. In Houston, he joined Monsanto Oil and finally
Amerada Hess / Hess Oil for 28 years in various management
and advisory positions.
At Hess, Frank began as Regional Gulf of Mexico Projects
manager. He then became Director GOM Exploration from
1985-2000 which resulted in several significant shelf
discoveries. His greatest accomplishment was leading a team
to discovering 5 new fields in the Garden Banks offshore La.
Area (3 operated by Hess) yielding over 500 MMBOE and
100,000 BOPD. From 2000-2012 he served as Sr. Exploration
Advisor, Sr. Global Technical specialist, Advisor to the SVP / VP
staff, and Hess' Director of the Exploration Excellence program
with a team guiding prospect evaluations, portfolio
management, and exploration change improvement.
Frank formed a consultancy in 2020 (FVB Management
Consultant TX-LLC) and consults for INNEX Energy bringing
global sequence stratigraphy best practices to the mature San
Joaquin Basin working with the team, especially Mike Strickler.
